Under the Census Ordinance, every person is obliged to provide information for the Census of Population and Housing, and the Department of Census and Statistics is also legally bound to protect the confidentiality of that information.

Instructions for registration

You must fulfill the following qualifications to register for e-Census.

• A census label (red label) should be affixed to your house and the numbers written on it should be clearly identifiable.
• Registration is possible only for housing units with one household.
  (In a housing unit, several people living together and providing food and drinks in common or a person living alone and providing his own food and drinks are considered as a household.)
• You should be able to provide details of all household members.
• Only those households expected to be residing in the current housing unit till December 31st, 2024 should be registered for the e-Census.
• Before registering for e-Census, you must have read the Census Questionnaire. (Get questionnaire from below link)
